Accolades to our nation






India’s 67th Independence Day was celebrated at GSFS with fun and fervour. The festivities began with the hoisting of the tricolour by Mrs Elsamma Thomas, founder Principal of GSFS, and the inauguration of the day-long celebrations. The leaders of the five houses – Elegance, Excellence, Emancipation, Jubilant and Joyous – organised the colourful morning gathering, keeping to the theme of Indian Independence.







The audience which comprised the GSFS family was welcomed by Vishnupriya Bhushan. Before the vibrant cultural programmes commenced, Prachi Agarwal delivered the Expression of Gratitude. Pallavi Mishra anchored the events of the day. Priyam Porwal spoke on the topic, ‘The Importance of Independence Day celebration in Free India’. Anupama Dhanania spoke on ‘The relevance of Independent India for the Youth’.

In her Independence Day message, the Principal emphasised on making complete use of the freedom that our great leaders had earned for us. She shared her dream of a world of empowered women, through the values and principles that GSFS impart to its students.

The patriotic fusion dance performed by the GSFS students at Good Shepherd International School combined the aesthetics of Bengali, Gujarati, Marathi, Rajasthani, Bhangra, Bharathanatyam dance forms.
