THE POWER OF BEING YOURSELF

 -Ritikka Raghunandan

If we have to talk about freedom, what comes to your mind first? Is it the 1857 Revolt? Or is it Gandhiji? Or is it August 15th? Our freedom fighters fought for our freedom but..  was it really worth it? India is a free nation now but do we have the freedom to live the life we want to live?

Take a look at yourself in the mirror, who do you see looking back? Is it the person you want to be? Or is there someone else you were meant to be, the person you should have been, but fell short off? Is someone telling you that you can't or won't? Because you can! Believe that love is out there; believe that dreams come true because they do, believe in yourself! So take a look in that mirror and remind yourself to be happy and be yourself.

When was the last time you decided to be loose and be the person you want to be, the person you enjoy being? Was it yesterday, today or was it years back? In today's world with competition, jealousy and evil surrounding us we forget true love exists, we forget the person we were meant to be but instead we choose to be a stranger to ourselves and be the person our bosses, teachers and our peers want us to be ?!

Isn’t it high time you valude yourself, bring out the originality that's hidden and be the person you were meant to be? So begin today and live your life as the "Special you and not some clone of someone's imagination". Things are going to be better once you take the right turns of your life and be responsible for what happens to you instead of trying to be the FAKE YOU!

So wake up, there's only one YOU, so be yourself and do not let anyone snatch that away from you! So now I want you to know, for what it's worth it's never too late or in my case too early to be whoever you want to be. There's no time limit, stop whenever you’re not [Being yourself], you can change or be the same. There’s freedom and there are no rules to this thing. We can make the best of it or the worst. I hope you make the best of it. I hope you see things that you've never seen before, feel things you've never felt before. I hope you live a life you’re proud of. If you find that you're not, I hope you have the strength to start all over again.
